Exploring the beautiful nature of Libohova and the church of St. Mary

One of the most amazing experiences that you can have while being in Gjirokastra is traveling to Libohova and to Labova. Even though they are quite small towns, you are still offered quite beautiful landscapes, historical heritage and cultural tourism.

This trip consists of a visit to Libohova, a small town located in one of the faces of Bureto mountain. There we will stop for a short visit to enjoy the view from above of Drino valley, Doftia lake and Gjirokastra in front of us. We will also see one the oldest plane trees that is still alive in the south of Albania, over 200 years old. (Our region used to be full of plane trees and now, a few of them are still alive and they are also quite old) and stop for a drink. The rose juice is traditional of this town and we will have the chance to try it there. Then, we will head to Lower Labova, which is a village located really close to Libohova. There we will enjoy what the nature offers us and we will also make a visit to St.Mary Church in this village. After being done with this activity, we can stop for lunch at one of the traditional guesthouses of this village and after that we will be back to Gjirokastra. Assuming that we start our trip at 10:30 am in the morning, we should be back around 2 pm.

The price is per vehicle, so this price is fixed for 3 people, 2 or just 1. (For the 4th person we need an extra vehicle, so if you have more than three people, you need to book it twice! If it sounds like a financial burden on you, try to add two more people that you might have on your guesthouse, so you can split the cost together.)

Please be aware that lunch is not included in the tour price and it is on everybody’s expense.
