If all of our tours have sounded great to you, I have to say that this one is one our favorites of all the guides of our office!!! This tour is not just a visit to some random waterfall, but it is a lifetime experience. First, we are going to head from Gjirokastra towards Pogoni region, where we will stop exactly by the banks of Suha river. Then, walking and doing some rock-climbing in the shallow waters of this river for around 15 minutes, we will reach to Selcka waterfall, named after the village which is located nearby. This waterfall offers a spectacular and mesmerizing view for everyone that goes and visits it. It is totally hidden and it is reachable only from those people who have a considerable amount of skills and experience in rock-climbing. The water is a little bit cold, but that doesn’t mean that we will not swim there. Nothing can stop us enjoy this adventure on this area. After that, we will make a short visit to Poliçan, a small village situated in the front face of Nemërçka mountain, which is really close to the border with Greece. There is also an old plane tree of our region and a main square, which offers a wonderful view of the mountains that surround us. The visit in Poliçan is going to be short and after that, we can go to Stegopul, a village on the way back to Gjirokastra, where we will have lunch and also, we will visit and see some other touristic spots.
Please be advised that lunch is not included on this tour and it is on everybody’s expense. Also, be aware that this tour requires strong abilities on rock-climbing and equilibrium, because there is not any path or trail that we can follow and reach to the waterfall easily. We will have to go through the river and what makes it hard are only the rocks that are on our way! No special rock-climbing equipments are required for this tour, because our guides have done it a lot of times without them, but if you a professional rock-climber and you really know how to use them, feel free to take them with you.
The price is per vehicle, so this price is fixed for 3 people, 2 or just 1. (For the 4th person Extra vehicle, so if you have more than three people, you need to book it twice! If it sounds like a financial burden on you, try to add two more people that you might have on your guesthouse, so you can split the cost together.)
